Dominic Patterson Founder & Director
Since he founded the company in 2010, Dominic has developed a culture of originality; that produces executive content and world-class conferences, many of which have become the singular events of their industry.
With over a decade’s experience in all forms of business events, as well as publishing and politics, Dominic has built a reputation as a leader in business media. Connect Media Group has been twice recognised as a BRW Fast Starter, a BRW Fast 100 Company, and a SmartCompanySmart50.
British by birth, Dominic is a dual citizen residing in Sydney with his family. A sportsman and a lover of performing arts, he maintains a keen interest in political affairs and has hosted a radio show with several listeners.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Management (Economics) from the University of Westminster in London, certificates from AFTRS and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jessica Bryan Production Manager
Jessica is responsible for the coordination of the production department. With a considerable reputation for events management, she has been a member of the Connect Events team from 2012 and has been an integral part of the company’s growth.
Jessica has a background in HR and marketing with a Bachelor of Business from University of New England. Originally from Armidale in country NSW, she has traveled extensively, lived on four continents and can speak Italian.
Georgia Hall Programme Manager
Georgia is responsible for the development and implementation of our event programmes as well as managing relationships with our speakers.
She has 7 years’ experience in events of which she was responsible for the planning to the execution.
Georgia grew up in England and has dual citizenship to Australia. She enjoys music, travel and exploration.
Jack Riisfeldt Content Manager
Jack facilitates the knowledge exchange of senior leaders from some of the world’s most recognised companies. Responsible for curating our event programmes, conducting interviews with senior business leaders to explore their successes and industry insights, and works alongside the marketing team to execute creative campaigns. Jack has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from UNSW and has received well-rounded exposure to multimedia environments. Previously, Jack has worked with ABC Legal and was the Student Editor of the Australian Indigenous Law Review.
Jack is an Artist who has exhibited at galleries throughout Sydney and is a current playing member of the Ignatius Old Boys Football Club.
Nerissa Groenewoud Head of Marketing and Customer Experience
Nerissa oversees the marketing department and is responsible for developing an effective marketing strategy and creating a seamless, positive experience for delegates and sponsors.
Her background has consisted of senior marketing roles, predominantly in the technology space, including Head of Marketing APAC BAE Systems, Head of Marketing A&NZ Recall, Marketing Manager Simms International and Marketing Manager at LASER Corporation.
In her spare time, she enjoys exercising outdoors and has raised money for Cancer Research by participating in full and half marathons, ocean races, triathlons and the ½ Ironman.
Angel Gomez Commercial Manager
Angel manages the acquisition and development of commercial partnerships across an extensive portfolio of industry leading events. Joining the team in 2016, he has brought a wealth of experience in sponsorship account management from the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Angel is an avid traveller who managed to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) whilst in the United States and a Master’s Degree in Marketing (Sport and Event Management) in France.
Angel is a former semi-professional baseball player and a lover of sports with a command of 3 languages.
Jack Martin Commercial Manager
Having worked in Supply Chain and Logistics for 6 years, Jack has transferred his experience to now manage sponsorship across a portfolio of events. During his time working in Supply Chain he lived England for two years and worked at Marks and Spencer.
He is passionate about travelling and all things sport (especially AFL) and is qualified with a Diploma in Graphic Design.
Regina Portelli Account Manager
Regina is responsible for the acquisition of delegates across several events. Prior to this role, she worked in sales at Reed Exhibitions for 5 years and has 4 years event coordination experience. She has a Diploma of Business.
Regina is passionate about animals, nature and fitness. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, reading and watching Netflix.
Grace Quinn Operations Manager
Grace is responsible for Event Operations, customer service and office administration. She holds a Bachelor of Management in Events and Leisure at University of Technology, Sydney and has over 5 years’ experience in hospitality as well as some experience with brand marketing.
Grace is an avid sports fan and is often found attending sporting events.
Bridee Arrighi Event Manager
As an event manager, Bridee manages event operations across several events as well as general office administration and customer service. Bridee graduated from Macleay College with a Bachelor of Business specialising in Event Management and has ample experience in retail and customer service.
She prefers spending her time outdoors enjoying the serenity of camping, visiting the beach and embarking on adventures.
Eliza Lucas Programme Coordinator
In her role, Eliza coordinates speaker activities, ensuring production of high-quality event programmes. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Business/ Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation at UTS where she has gained experience in problem-solving and ideating for various client briefs.
Eliza was previously a dancer for 15 years and now enjoys attending the ballet, going to the beach and eating chocolate.
Holly Lucas Marketing Coordinator
As Marketing Coordinator, Holly is responsible for overseeing the implementation of each event’s marketing strategy and facilitating advertising relationships.
Holly has a Diploma of Events (Distinction) and is in her final year of Applied Business Marketing at the University of Canberra. She has previous experience in retail, administration and events, leadership and mentorship.
Before pursuing a career in marketing, Holly thought she was destined to be a lawyer. In her first year of law, Holly worked for the University of Wollongong Law Student’s Society and created initiatives to support student wellbeing and equal opportunity.
Holly is a G&T connoisseur and lover of Burmese cats.
Samantha Morrison Social Media Coordinator
Sam is responsible for managing Connect Media Group’s social media accounts for the company’s respective conferences as well as sourcing content and researching industry trends, various marketing activities, interviewing national and international keynote speakers.
She is completing her final year of a five year double degree studying International Studies and Media: PR and Advertising at the University of New South Wales. Her experience includes previous roles as a Communications Team Leader at Amnesty International Australia followed by a volunteer internship with the United Nations Association of Australia as a Marketing and Communications Intern.
She is passionate about travelling and has worked and studied in London and Paris. She can also speak French..
Carlo Marquez Azarcon Multimedia Designer & Producer
Carlo joined Connect Media Group in 2014, and has since been responsible for the design & production of its media across an ever-expanding range of touchpoints. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, and spends his time outside the office honing his skills in illustration, music, and fitness.
